What does compulsory car insurance "MTPL" cover?
In the framework of the Law "On compulsory insurance in the transport sector", every vehicle that circulates within the territory of the Republic of Albania must be equipped with the MTPL policy (Compulsory Insurance of the Owner of the Motor Vehicle for Civil Liability to Third Parties). This insurance includes the coverage of expenses as a result of material, health and property damage caused to third parties, due to the circulation of the insured motor vehicle.

MTPL accompanied by a bonus for Private Pension
• 1,500 Lek (if the vehicle is a car)
• 2,500 Lek (if the vehicle is a Van or Truck)
• 5,000 Lek (if the vehicle is a Bus)
This amount is deposited to SIGAL’s Private Pension Fund. If you are not yet a member of this Fund, we make you a member after filling in the relevant registration form.
MTPL accompanied by Personal Accident Insurance for the driver
Compensates - the driver - with 1,000,000 Lek, in case of an accident which results in life loss
MTPL accompanied by Mini-Casko
Covers accidental damage to the vehicle itself with an insurance amount of up to Lek 1,000,000, from a collision with another vehicle if it’s the drivers fault, up to 75% of the damage.
MTPL associated with the TELEHEALTH Service
For the entire validity period of your MTPL policy, you will have the opportunity to consult an online doctor wherever you are, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
