- Hospitalization
- Day surgery
- Medical evacuation by air ambulance
How do chronic diseases differ from pre-existing diseases?
A chronic disease is that diagnosis for which there is no known curative treatment, such as: Asthma or Diabetes. A pre-existing condition is one that first developed symptoms before insurance coverage began, or one that is a direct consequence of another known and diagnosed condition.
