\nTurn off gas pipelines, water balloons, and remove power outlets.
\nMake a plan of where to meet your family after the earthquake.
\nDo not leave heavy objects on shelves as they will fall during earthquake shocks.
\nSupport furniture such as cupboards or heavy shelves and other removable accessories, near the wall or, if you have them mounted, lower them to the floor.
\nLearn the contingency plan for what steps to take in the event of an earthquake at school or at work.<\/p>\n

WHAT TO DO DURING THE EARTHQUAKE<\/p>\n

Keep calm! If you are indoors, stay indoors! If you are out of the house, stay out.
\nIf you are indoors, stand against a wall site near the center of the building, stand on the doorstep, or slip under heavy furniture such as under a desk.
\nStay out of windows and out of doors.
\nIf you are out, stay away from power lines or anything that may fall and get you down.
\nStay away from other buildings as things may fall from the building or the building itself may fall on you.
\nDo not use fire extinguishers, candles, or any other method of fire extinguishing because they can mix in broken gas pipes.
\nIf you are in a car, stop the car and stay inside the car until the earthquake stops.
\nDo not use elevators (as they may stall and \/ or stop automatically).<\/p>\n

What to do after the earthquake<\/p>\n

Check yourself and others close to you if they are injured. Give first aid to those who need it.
\nCheck water pipelines, gas pipelines, and power lines for potential damage.
\nCheck if you smell gas. If you smell gas, open all windows and doors immediately and leave them open. Also notify the relevant authorities.
\nTurn on the TV \/ Radio. Do not use your phone unless you have an emergency.
\nStay out and away from damaged buildings.
\nBeware of broken glass or broken glass. Wear boots or strong shoes so that your feet do not crack.
\nBeware of the chimneys because if you have one near you they may fall on you.
\nStay away from beaches because, for example, in the event of a tsunami, large waves created by an earthquake at sea strike after the earth has stopped shaking.
\nStay away from damaged areas.
\nIf you are at school or at work, follow emergency plan instructions and safety personnel tips.
